We went for our second time and ones more it was just perfect. It is just like sitting in a friend's living room and getting served a perfect meal. The waiter and Manager is just a bundle of energy and fun. Always handy with a short story or a joke. The food is just excellent and really tasty, some of the best food I have gotten here in the UK.
It's totally perfect, home cooked and wonderful tasting food. We ate a great meal here with great service. I had a really tasty Wild Boar wow, what can I say, perfect along with roasted potatoes and salad. But the must have is the Honey Cake. We'll be back again, thanks for making us so welcome.
Finally got a chance to try this place. Highly recommended. Had the pork schnitzel , beef stroganoff and Lithuanian bread starter. The starter is really good (cheese garlic sauce is very nice). The pork schnitzel was pretty good but not my favourite dish! The sauerkraut that came with it was the best ive ever had though, homemade by the owner. Stroganoff was authentic and very tasty. The owner is very nice and funny. Overall great atmosphere! Looking forward to trying other dishes there sometime.
We had a lovely time at CCCP - nice atmosphere and decor, the food was absolutely tasty (we had the Russian salad, trout, dumplings and honey cake). Ramsay was a great host with a great sense of humour - Merci beaucoup / cпасибо !
Eating here was amazing, from the moment we walked in we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. I came here about 10 years ago as a child and boy oh boy am I glad I came back as an adult! The herring salad was brilliant, as were the fried rye bread sticks, even better than the ones I had in Lithuania! Ramsay the host was good enough to explain the pros and cons of different types of bread used for this purpose when I asked. The mains were similarly great and more than enough to fill our bellies. These were washed down with a delicious red ale and a few special little vodkas - all to the ambience of Russia's top 40 charts. It's a top place and it deserves our support, Ramsay and his wife really care about the restaurant and it shows! There is also a fine hat on offer for anyone daring enough to pose.
Great place to spend time with friends. the food ( shashlyk, chicken kiev, traditional herring salad, traditional winter salad and honey cake were excellent, generous portions and great prices; service quick, staff was very professional and very friendly, the restaurant is clean and hygiene. The location of the restaurant is great, not to far from the sea front.
